Tax Collection Information
- Village of Sloan property taxes are due June 1, 2025
- Deliver payments to Village Hall located at 425 Reiman Street
- Methods of Payment Accepted: Cash, Check, Bank Draft, Money Order
- You may now make two (2) partial payments of 50% each
- Penalties will apply to unpaid balances after July 1.
Penalty Schedule for Late Tax Payments
- Tuesday, July 1 – No Penalty
- July 2-July 31, 2025 – 7.5%
- Aug 1-Sept 3, 2025 – 9%
- Sept 4-Sept 30, 2025 – 10.5%
- Oct 1- Oct 31, 2025 – 12%
Exemptions
- Qualifying income limit including social security for the Village of Sloan is $19,800.

Tax Rate
Tax rate for the 2025/2026 year is $6.631852 per $1,000 assessed value.
Tax Certificates
To obtain a village tax certificate through the mail, send the appropriate fee made payable to “Village of Sloan” along with a SASE and a letter of request to:

- The fee for each certificate requested is $10.00.
- Tax receipt copies are free and can be faxed if necessary.
Birth/Death Certificates
Birth/Death Certificate Copies are available at the cost of $10 per certified copy.

Building Permit Fees

- Electrical inspections are not completed by this department.
- If an electrical inspection is required by the Code Enforcement Officer, you must obtain one independently.

Renting Village Facilities
Park Shelter Rentals
- Must be Village of Sloan Resident
- $50 Fee + $50 Security Deposit
- To serve alcohol, you must obtain an Open Container Permit which costs $5

Piekarski Center or Sloan Fire Hall
- Rates for Sloan Firefighters & Village Employees: $100 Fee + $200 Security Deposit
- Rates for Village Residents: $200 Fee + $200 Security Deposit
- Rates for Non-Residents: $600 + $600 Security Deposit

Security Deposits are refundable provided facility is left clean, with no damage, and free of debris/litter. Please allow up to three (3) weeks for deposit to be returned.
Additional Trash/Recycling Totes
- Are available for purchase.

Billing & collections
Coordinates village billing and receives payments for applicable taxes, fees, and other charges.
Records & reporting
Maintains financial records and supports required reporting in accordance with village procedures.
Budget support
Assists with budget preparation and tracking of revenues and expenditures.

Helps answer general questions about payment methods, receipts, and where to direct specific requests.
